Resistors, Reading of value of resistors, Unit and unit symbol of resistors ....

Hello everyone, In this post we will learn about the basic of RESISTORS. Resistors are electronic component mostly used in all electronics circuits, it is made up of conductors and semiconductors materials ( later on we will learn about conductors and semiconductors). Resistors are used to control the current in a circuit however it is also used for other functions ( we will only learn the basic of resistors lol ). we will first learn how to read and understand resistors value using the Color code look and analyze the chart below:

As you notice from the chart above each color ( starting from black to white) has a specified digit
e.g BLACK = 0 and each color have a multiplier if it is 10 to 2 for RED ( it should be 2 zero{00}).
Some colors have a tolerance value e.g GOLD 5%.
Now look and analyze the picture below:

As you notice that we have the 4 band and 5 band resistors we will learn reading value from the 4 band one.
As in the picture above the first and second band are converted as there color code the third band are converted to the number of zeroes e.g 2 = 00. so it is 1 0 00 = 1000ohms = 1k ohms ( kilo ohms). That how we read resistors using color code.
